Why I Recommend
The Symmetry tool is a genuinely useful addition for anyone working with patterns, mandalas, or symmetrical illustration work. Manually mirroring strokes stroke-by-stroke is tedious and rarely perfectly aligned. Having the software handle that in real time as you draw removes a whole category of manual correction work.
The live brush engine is still what sets Fresco apart from most competing painting apps, though. A lot of “watercolor” brushes in other software are really just texture stamps. Fresco’s fluid simulation genuinely behaves like wet media, which matters if the natural, organic look of traditional painting is part of what you’re going for.
